In 2012 Coyote was stung by a scorpion after being hired to star in Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1.
In 2013, Shaolin Pictures is producing the action/comedy Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1 starring The Hippy Coyote.

Last Movie to be Shot on Film?
We seriously considered shooting Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1 on a digital camera. We determined what the best digital camera and format was. The best in the world. But it wasn't good enough.
Scott and I could see the difference. We could see where the details were lacking. We could see the limitations of digital. We couldn't consider it. We tried to consider it. But neither of us was ever impressed or satisfied with what we could do with a digital format when compared to what we could accomplish by shooting on 35mm film.
Kodak Film company is excited about our movie. Since most movies are shot in digital, there is less film being shot. In a few years, film may not exist. So we're excited to shoot our movie and know that it will be the best looking movie it can possibly be.
This is a big step from our initial concept of shooting the movie on Super-8 film for a teeny budget. Even then we were hoping the grainy film look would add a mystique to our Kung Fu Cowboy movie.

We're having lots of lunches and passing out screenplays and budgets.
We've got some estimates of cost and... But we've got to get some experienced eyes on this project.
It's been 25 years since I was in the movie business. Things have changed. But not much. Movies are still just a bunch of pictures put together to make a story. The biggest change is that we won't edit on film. We will shoot on film, then transfer it to video. It'll all be video from that point on.

Oh yeah, my name. Since I'm The Hippy Coyote of American Zen, I decided that when I'm a solo artist I will be: THC The Hippy Coyote. Clever use of my initials, I hope. Someone commented, you're delineating your audience to persons who use THC. Hopefully that's a big audience.
Those people who are turned off by THC are probably not going to like my music anyway. I was originally intending to use the THC name when I was in Las Vegas. There was a big reggae movement going on there, with half the local bands being reggae.
One of my coworkers at Rhino Staging had a hot reggae band. He put me on the guest list for all his concerts. I'd never planned on being in a reggae band, but if I would've stayed in Las Vegas, I probably would have joined one as singer-flutist. I jammed with some bands, but mostly I noticed how excited the girls were while dancing. Reggae is very sexual for women. They get all jiggly and wiggly and sexy when they dance reggae.
Of course, being reggae bands, they got me high. In my months of life in Las Vegas, they were my one opportunity to score some bud. Oh yeah. I worked a Snoop Dog show at the Hard Rock Cafe. That was a fun gig. I was scared to join the crowd... puffing... since I was working... but after the show I was with the entourage and...

Scott Karahadian, the director of Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1, has decided we are going to shoot a LIVE CONCERT in the movie. My ghosts will come alive and perform with me. Well not really come alive -- but they will perform.
This means that we can record and shoot some additional songs and have some additional concert footage for music videos and...
I've found another producer who shoots music videos and porno movies. I think he will be great for producing my music videos during the shooting of the Kung Fu Cowboy movie. I'll be too busy with the movie, so he can arrange and coordinate everything. Then I, like a rock star, can show up for my music videos, get shot, and go home.
I so look forward to delegating and assigning...
For the Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1, I was originally just the star of the movie supplying all the music. Then I moved up to co-writer of the screenplay. Then I became the Producer as I took control and started contacting producers and crew and post-production facilities.

Weird. I had a new girlfriend every few days, or few weeks, or few months... but that was the longest. A few months.
Do you realize I haven't kissed a girl since 2001? I'm not proud of it. I'm really not. If I'd tried to be celibate for 12 years--I surely would have failed.
So what am I trying to do? I'd fall in love in a minute--if I got the chance. I've had a few pitter-patters in my chest the past decade, but I haven't come close to finding a girl that will fit into my life.
My kids thwarted me for many years. They were great for meeting girls, but girls aren't looking to adopt.
So really only this last year have I been single, since leaving my family Christmas 2011. But since my last girlfriend who became my wife in 1989 was only 21 years old... well, I'm ready for a new replacement... a new 21-year old?
I'm still attracted to 21-year olds as much as then. But they don't look at me the same though. I'm older than their dads.
So when I look at slightly older women, I expect them to be right for me in more ways than the Kama Sutra. But when a woman has a career, her life must be devoted to that full-time plus overtime. No time for me.
If a woman has a job, not a career, she doesn't have overtime. That means night times for me. Sorry, that's not enough.
When I look back at the best years of my life with Michelle, I see those early years when she went everywhere with me, worked for me, and helped me... Those were some great years. Too bad memories aren't more satisfying. I need new memories. But those years of being PARTNERS with my wife have spoiled me for anything less. Plus I'm scared of sexual diseases. If I'm gonna start swapping spit with some girl, she's gonna have to have more to offer than a body.
But that's why I'm here, alone. I haven't found a girl/woman who wants to fit into my life.

Coyote's Back... Kinda
Well, as I said last month... I'm not all the way back. I'm still Richard Del Connor, movie producer and screenwriter. But I'm really getting hungry to be a musician again.
I've been playing my guitar on a daily basis again. Even without an amp, I've been playing and singing... but singing softer than ever. I'm not saying it's to my benefit, but I have learned how to move into my falsetto easier and at lower notes. When I sing louder i can push my full voice into higher notes. So when I drive in my car I practice singing full volume... or louder. When I practice with my guitar I sing softer.

Masonic Kung Fu?
Well, this'll be my last mention of masonry for a while.
I was scheduled for a Yorkrite degree this month, but I couldn't afford the $35 fee -- so I cancelled.
The head mason was nice and understanding. He said something I've heard a few times and wrote about extensively a few years ago. He mentioned, "Everything happens in its' own time." I prefer to make things happen... but in the absence of having control over my financial life... I will have to wait until some time in the future when I can afford to be a mason again.
This is a major disappoint to me. I was viewing masonry as a brotherhood, as a family... But ironically, my own family decided they couldn't help me either. So without masonry and without family I enter into the next decade of my life.
I wanted these Yorkrite degrees because they contain a lot of masonic information from the days of King Solomon. They allowed me to take the 4th degree of freemasonry are receive my Mark Master Degree. But then I had to leave the building when the performed the next couple of degrees. That was a couple years ago. Evidentally, I've earned a reputation as the only mason to only receive the 4th Degree and not go further.
Masonry requires some money. The degrees cost money and the dues cost money and most lodges charge $10 or more for the dinner they serve after the meetings each week. Unfortunately for me, I cannot afford to be a freemason. I can't afford the meals, I can't afford the degrees, and my annual dues have been hard or impossible to come up with the past few years.
I've been advised to quit masonry until I can afford it. I quit masonry the past couple years since masonry said they couldn't help me and my family. I also didn't find any helpful contacts or entertainment connections. I've made some good acquaintances, but no friends.
